Experimental installation Art
"KADOYA studio" as a general store.
In early 2000, while doing art activities in galleries and museums, I was thinking about ways to eliminate the gap between art and everyday life.
One day, I found an old vacant house with a store.
Then began to create "KADOYA studio" a space that resembles a general store.
The project had three pillars.
1. to make the place look like a general store, accessible to all. To have a range of products from unique to common.
2. it is actually a never-ending (indefinite) installation and an open atelier.
3. not mention its nesting structure unless asked.
About the logo:
The behind eye looks back a past, the front eye looks to a future, the two eyes are staring at now. The logo represents "cherishing old knowledge, acquiring new" the Analects of Confucius.
